Melissa Ann McGeer and Philip Bonczewski III were united in marriage on July 27, 2013, at Dorranceton United Methodist Church, Kingston, by Pastor Calvin Rich.
The bride is the daughter of William and Beverly McGeer, Forty Fort. She is the granddaughter of the late Ann and Tug McGeer and the late James and Louise Cole, all of Kingston.
The groom is the son of Renee Bonczewski, Hanover Township, and Philip Bonczewski, Plymouth. He is the grandson of the late Theodore and Evelyn Pick, Larksville, and the late Philip and Barbara Bonczewski, Larksville.
The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father, William G. McGeer III. Matron of honor was Angela Robaczewski-Anderson. Bridesmaids were Melissa Petroski-Sutliff; Lisa Bonczewski, sister of the groom; Erica Robaczewski; Kate Daniels; Renee Roman; and Mary Cingolani. Flower girls were Amyah Anderson and Alayna Anderson, godchild of the bride, daughters of the matron of honor. Ring bearer was Levi Black, son of Erica Robaczewski.
Best man was Thomas Ide. Groomsmen were Tugger McGeer, brother of the bride; Jeffrey Bonczewski and Cory Bonczewski, brothers of the groom; Jonathan Hughes; Jason Dailey; and Michael Shusta.
An evening cocktail hour and reception were held at R & D Memories, Hanover Township. Entertainment was provided by Thomas J. Nat, ABC DJ Entertainment. A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the father of the groom at Keeley’s Alehouse and Grille, Kingston. The bride was honored with a bridal shower given by her mother at A Touch of Class Catering, Wilkes-Barre.
The bride is a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School and King’s College. She is employed as a third-grade teacher by the Pocono Mountain School District.
Philip is a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School and is employed as a corrections officer for Luzerne County.
The couple honeymooned in Riviera Maya, Mexico, in August. They reside in Forty Fort with their Yorkies, Rusty and Papale.
