The RailRiders lost an extra-inning contest to Toledo 6-3 in 10 innings as their record this season dropped back to .500 at 32-32. They split the four-game series with the Mud Hens and ended the eight-game homestamd with a 3-5 record.


RailRiders at the plate: Kyle Roller accounted for all the SWB runs with a three-run homer in the first inning, his sixth of the season for the RailRiders. Rob Refsnyder, making his Triple-A debut, went 2 for 4. Jose Pirela was also 2 for 4. Rehabbing catcher Francisco Cervelli, who was the designated hitter on Tuesday night, finished 1 for 4.


RailRiders on the mound: Shane Greene didn’t have his best outing as he allowed eight hits and only lasted four innings, but he only gave up one run and kept the RailRiders in the game, striking out four and not walking any. In the fifth and sixth innings, Mark Montgomery pitched. After a scoreless fifth, he gave up two runs in the sixth. Preston Claiborne took over in the seventh and tossed a pair of scoreless frames. Jim Miller worked a scoreless ninth before allowing a three-run homer in the tenth as his record fell to 4-2.


Riding the Rails: Second baseman Rob Refsnyder was promoted to Triple-A prior to Tuesday’s game as outfielder Adonis Garcia was placed on the disabled list. In another move, Jairo Heredia was moved to Double-A Trenton and right-hander Alfredo Aceves officially joined the RailRiders roster.

Today’s Game: There is no game today. SWB starts a road trip on Thursday beginning with four games in Columbus.

On Deck: The RailRiders head on the road to Columbus on Thursday after a day off today. After Columbus, they stay in Ohio to face Toledo for a four-game set starting Monday. The next game at PNC Field is Friday, June 20, against Pawtucket.

TOLEDO THIRD: Danny Worth singled. Ezequiel Carrera hit an infield single. Hernan Perez popped out. Tyler Collins hit an infield single. The runners advanced on a wild pitch with Worth scoring. James McCann reached on a fielder’s choice, Carrera out. Wade Gaynor singled; Collins thrown out at the plate trying to score. RAILRIDERS 3-1


TOLEDO SIXTH: Trevor Crowe singled. Jordan Lennerton struck out. Danny Worth singled. Ezequiel Carrera grounded out, but the runners advanced. Hernan Perez doubled to drive in Crowe and Worth. Tyler Collins popped out. TIED 3-3


TOLEDO TENTH: Wade Gaynor flied out. Ben Guez walked. Trevor Crowe singled. Jordan Lennerton hit a three-run homer. Danny Worth struck out. Ezequiel Carrera grounded out. MUD HENS 6-3
