Most everyone will agree that our nation has problems that seem irreparable and hopeless. But there was a similar time more than 2,000 years ago.

At that time, an angel of the Lord spoke to a young maiden and she said, yes, and conceived the savior of the world, Jesus. In modern times she, Mary, came to Fatima, Portugal, to three children to beg for prayer and repentance.

It is my belief that we can turn things around, for the good of our country, by responding to this maiden, Mary, and asking her prayers for this our dear country. There is a quote: “To one who has faith, no explanation is necessary. To one without faith, no explanation is possible.” Let us publicly ask her to go to her son, Jesus, for our benefit. It was at her request that Jesus performed his first public miracle at the wedding feast of Cana.

On Sept. 13, the Knights of Columbus will sponsor a rosary

Rally at All Saints Parish, Willow Street, in Plymouth. All are welcome to join in an outdoor procession that will begin at 2 p.m. from the church. The Pilgrim Virgin of Fatima statue will be carried by the Knights of Columbus. Prayers, followed by Mass, will be said in the church beginning at 3 p.m.

Let us come out for this public display of prayer for our nation.
