The time has come to wake up. I have heard residents of Wilkes-Barre complaining about taxes, crime and how our city has fallen into disarray. All of us need to make our voices heard and get out and vote.

I have seen people shrug and say, “My one vote doesn’t matter.” Know what? They are right; one vote will not make a difference, but many votes will. So instead of complaining about the problems, be part of eliminating the problems.

Each of us has power to change our city for the better by banning together and saying no more – no more corruption, no more tax increases, no more being afraid. We need someone who understands what the problems are and how they can be fixed, someone who cares about this city and the people who live in it.

Frank Sorick is running for mayor. An honorable man, he will be dedicated to making Wilkes-Barre a better place and will fight to ease the tax burdens that have been placed on residents.

Change can only happen if we make the small effort to put in charge someone who wants what we want: a better Wilkes-Barre, a safer Wilkes-Barre and a place to be proud to call home.

Frank Sorick is a person who can make this happen.
