The first big presidential debate of the 2016 campaign is over. Some 24 million viewers tuned in and only because of one man – Donald Trump. It’s really refreshing how one man can keep so many Republican candidates honest and yet one TV network biased, prejudicial, phony and, most of all, stupid.

We heard from Marco Rubio, Ted Cruz, Scott Walker, Mike Huckabee, etc., saying the first thing they would would do as president is repeal Obamacare. I ask and replace it with what? Over 47 million Americans with no health insurance. Many with pre-existing conditions. Our lawmakers have health insurance and with pre-existing conditions: brain dead.

There were things that Mr. Trump said that I didn’t like, especially about women and, in particular, Rosie O’Donnell. Many of these comments are probably said by local patrons at taverns, in bars, backrooms and people’s homes. Be truthful, America!

And now we get to the panel of moderators, the fair-and-balanced trio of Fox News. To me, they’re like the troika of Russian news. Why didn’t Megyn Kelly, Chris Wallace and Bret Baier ask former Gov. Huckabee why he pardoned a convict who then traveled to the state of Washington, where he murdered two police officers? Why didn’t they ask Sen. Cruz about the businessman who donated $11 million to his presidential campaign. It was a Texas businessman. Do you think this guy wants something?

Then we have Scott Walker of Wisconsin. Granted, he’s been elected and re-elected. But here’s a guy who I felt was being pitched beach balls to hit. He looked like he was reading cue cards or words from a teleprompter. He’s a career politician who probably never had a job, always demeaning civil service workers, yet when he promised to create 250,000 jobs in his state, came up over 125,000 short.

And how about Carly Fiorina, the ex-CEO for Hewlett-Packard. She laid off thousands of workers and when she left the company in disarray had a $40 million umbrella. Yet Fox newsman Wallace asked Mr. Trump about his four bankruptcies, a legal procedure available to every businessman, corporation, etc.

Then, what about the other Republican political reject, Rick Santorum. As Newt Gingrich said, he became a millionaire by being a Washington insider.

Illegal immigration seems to be at the forefront thanks to Mr. Trump. Rubio, Cruz, Jeb Bush, John Kasich and many other lawmakers, past and present, didn’t do anything about it. Now it’s time to stop hiding, and all because of one man – Donald Trump.

May God bless him!
