So Gov. Tom Wolf wants to replace ex-Attorney General Kathleen Kane with Bruce Beemer.
I object. Beemer is second-string, part of the jayvee team.
As a proud Pennsylvanian, I want my state officials to excel in all things. In Ms. Kane we had a true overachiever; we had the most corrupt attorney general among the 50 states.
What do we know about this Beemer guy other than that he, too, is a Democrat, and therefore part of their culture of corruption?
That might be good enough for Gov. Wolf, but not for me. I suggest that rather than limit the pool of potential AG successors to his Democratic cronies, Wolf should expand the candidate pool to include the state prison system. Surely he can find a criminal of Kane’s caliber in Rockview, Retreat or SCI Dallas.
I’m not sure Beemer can measure up to Kane; I don’t see why we Pennsylvanians should settle for second best (or should I say, second worst.)
