Diversify hiring in the city? I know where this is headed!
The test will change to make it easier for minorities. In other words, “lower the standards.” I have seen it done before.
If I were a minority, I would be insulted that I was deemed too stupid to compete. But it will happen. People who should not be firefighters or police will be hired.
I have seen tests on which points are added to your score if you are black or Hispanic. Do you really want this to happen?
To me, “diversity” is a dangerous word. It means less-qualified people will get jobs simply because of their skin color.
