Locally, Saturday morning bike rides have become a weekly event from Around Town Bicycles in Wilkes-Barre.
As one of the participants, I extend a thank-you to the police officer who took the time to block traffic for our group on a recent Saturday as we were merging on to Wyoming Avenue in Forty Fort. He then followed us to the borough’s border with Wyoming and protected that intersection, too.
Rarely do we see a courtesy such as that, and I feel it should not go unnoticed. We really do appreciate it!
