Your View: Trump not making American great again

Many of us voted for President Donald Trump because he said he would replace Obamacare with a healthcare plan that would give us more coverage at a lower cost.

Now he’s supporting a plan that would increase deductibles, benefit the wealthy but not the majority of us and lead to about 20 million additional people being uninsured. This is not what he promised.

Do U.S. Rep. Lou Barletta, R-Hazleton, and U.S. Sen. Pat Toomey, R-Zionsville, really think we’re going to vote for them in the future if they vote in favor of the disastrous Trumpcare and continue to be silent when he posts tweets that are not just lies, but are slanderous.

Unfortunately, many of the people who voted for him are in denial and believe only Trump’s “fake news.”

Are they really so naive to believe him and not our judges, intelligence agencies, the New York Times, CNN, etc. One must begin to question the president’s mental health — or intelligence — when you learn he does believe what he reads on Breitbart and in the National Enquirer.

Let’s hope he resigns and lets Vice President Mike Pence take over because he’s not making America great.
