Letter to the Editor: United Way grateful for local support of its community projects and focus on kids

I am writing with a strong sense of gratitude.On May 14, the United Way of Wyoming Valley held its annual Day of Caring and our awards breakfast. Both were record-breaking events for us!I am grateful to the 851 volunteers who donned the United Way T-shirts and volunteered their time to serve others. There were 52 projects worked on and, as one volunteer put it, “a whole lot of good got done.”
