DeSales used a big second half, outscoring Wilkes by 20 over the final two quarters on way to a 69-46 women’s college basketball victory Wednesday night at the Marts Center.

Wilkes (4-18 overall, 1-10 Freedom) trailed 29-26 at halftime.

Cara Basile led the Wilkes attack with 16 points on 9 of 11 shooting from the free throw line. Emily Sutton and Catey McFadden each finished with six points and combined for 12 rebounds.

Delaware Valley 64,

Misericordia 50

Japriya Carroll had 12 points and eight rebounds for Misericordia while Rachel Carmody had eight points and a game-high 13 rebounds.

The Aggies used a 22-5 second-half run to break open a tie game and take a 48-29 lead early in the fourth quarter.

Eastern 60, King’s 52

Valley West graduate Tara Zdancewicz led King’s with a career-high 19 points with six rebounds.

Fellow Spartan product Olivia Hoffman followed with 10 points, six rebounds and three blocks. She now has 83 blocks and is four away from breaking King’s single-season record of 86 set during the 1998-99 season.
