Back Mountain managed just one hit as it lost 4-1 to Indiana in an elimination game Thursday in the 9-10 State Softball state tournament at Wellsboro Little League.

Back Mountain, though, protested the game since Indiana didn’t have all its players reach the minimum requirement for playing time.

Allison Vitanovec had Back Mountain’s only hit. Pitcher Victoria Staciano struck out seven.

Back Mountain took a 1-0 lead in the top of the fourth, but Indiana came back to tie the score in the bottom of the frame. Indiana then scored three times in the fifth.
