Katie Strohl scored her 200th coal of her career as Lake-Lehman topped Crestwood, 6-5, in girls lacrosse game on Thursday.

Teammate Kate Roberts finished with two goals and one assist, Hallie Jenkins had two assists and Grace Butler made 13 saves.

Natasha Koslop led Crestwood with two goals and Emily Roberts finished with one goal and one assist.

Delaware Valley 16,

Coughlin 1

Maecy Chlebowski led the Warriors’ attack with six goals and an assist. Mandy Xu finished with three saves in the win.

Kendall Pearage scored for the Crusaders on an assist from Bella Skaff.

Dan Matarazzo, Josh Balcarcel, Anton Mackey and Riely Van Wie all scored two goals for DelVal.

Sam Greenfield scored twice and Rob Trottini and Dom Deluca scored one goal each for Wyoming Area.

Pittston Area 0

The Blue Knights swept Pittston Area thanks to the dominant play of both their top singles player and doubles pair.

Eamon Gibbons won in straight sets, while the pair of Michael Kim and Diedrick Reitsma did the same.

BASEBALL

King’s 7, Eastern 6

Junior designated hitter, and Coughlin grad, Kyle Lupas delivered a one-out RBI single to center field to score Hanover Area grad Christian Pack from second base as King’s clinched a MAC Freedom Conference Tournament berth with a victory over visiting Eastern University.

The Monarchs locked up the third seed in next week’s conference tournament.

Lupas was 3 for 4 with 2 RBI and scored once while Scranton grad Sean Padden was 3 for 4 with one run scored. Pack finished 3 for 5 with a RBI. Hanover Area graduate John Wickiser (5-2) was the winning pitcher for King’s. He threw the final 1.1 innings without allowing a hit.

Misericordia 11,

Manhattanville 5

Brett Davis had four hits and Kenny Jarema and Steve Weisensee added three hits while Jeremy DeCotiis had two hits and drove in four runs.

Tim Burek scattered eight hits over seven innings, including six straight shutout innings, to earn the win.

The Valiants took a 4-1 lead after one inning, but Burek shut them down over the next six innings as the Cougars built a 10-4 lead through seven innings.

MEN’S TRACK & FIELD

Misericordia tied for 3rd

Alex Fitch finished third at 10K, while teammate Trever Reed was eighth at the MAC Outdoor Championships.

Eddie Okeke, Jonathan Buck, Sean Luzzi and Tyler Lamberson were fourth in the 4×800 relay.

King’s sits in 8th

The Monarchs scored two points after two completed events at the MAC Outdoor Championships.

Nilang Suthar finished with a time of 36:13.53 to finish in 28th place in his second collegiate race at the 10K distance.

The quartet of Ben Siegel, Michael Havrilla, Michael Duncklee, and Randill De Asis scored two points with a seventh place finish out of 10 teams with a time of 8:28.00 in the 4×800 relay. The finish also earns the team honorable mention all-conference honors.

WOMEN’S TRACK & FIELD

Cougars lead pack

Clare Schoen finished third to lead three Cougars in the top eight at 10K at the MAC Outdoor Championships. Meredith Hartz was fifth and Jordyn Donnelly placed seventh.

The 4×800 relay team of Shelbi Jones, Jackie Bamberski, Jill Eberly and Kelty Fairchild finished second.

Monarchs sit in 7th

Morgan Albrecht, Tara Johnson, Alexandra Evangelista, and Gabrielle Longchamp teamed up to score two points with a seventh place finish out of nine teams in the MAC Outdoor Championships. Their time of 10:08.39 sets the school record and earns honorable mention all-conference honors.
