Mother Nature didn’t cut Pocono Raceway a break as persistent rain postponed Sunday’s IndyCar ABC Supply 500.

Drivers ran warm-up laps late morning until the rains came around 1:30 p.m. and stayed.

Sunday’s weather forecast looked bleak leading into the day and proved to be true.

Both of Pocono’s NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races were moved to Monday with the bad weather as Sunday’s rain-out makes the track a perfect 3 for 3 for rain-delayed races. The last NASCAR race at Pocono three weeks ago was shortened because of poor visibility from fog.

The 500-mile IndyCar race at Pocono is rescheduled for noon.
