Sophomore Trahjan Krupinski blasted a three-run homer in the bottom of the fifth inning to lift Nanticoke to a 5-4 win over Wyoming Valley West on Friday in WVC baseball play.
Kyle Pokrinchak pitched four innings of relief to get the win for the Trojans (2-7) while adding two hits and an RBI at the plate.
Zach Sott and Mike Pollick each had a hit and an RBI for the Spartans (5-3).

Lucas Jurchak struck out 1o in six innings of work as the Warriors (4-4) moved into a first-place tie atop Division 2. Anthony Nardell went 2 for 3 with a double and three RBI while Mike Bonita tripled.
Taylor Chronowski had a hit and an RBI for the Crusaders (4-4). Chase Nowak struck out six.

Berwick 3
James Graves scored on a passed ball with two outs in the bottom of the seventh to give the Comets (7-1) their sixth straight win in WVC play. Graves (two hits), Justin Darden (double, RBI) and Stephen Wegener (two hits, triple, RBI) led the offense.
Matt Champ topped the Bulldogs (3-5) with two hits.

Tyler Jackson turned in another strong all-around game for the Patriots (5-2), striking out seven for a complete-game shutout. At the plate, the senior went 2 for 2 with a triple and two RBI. Johnny DeLucca homered in the win.
Connor Hulslander went 3 for 3 to lead the Tigers (4-4).

Dallas 0
Colin Stauffer went the distance and struck out 10 in a five-hit shutout for the Cougars (4-4). Dayan Reinoso (two doubles, RBI), Livan Reinoso (two RBI) and Alex Klein (two RBI) all had two hits apiece.
Mike Collins had two hits for the Mountaineers (2-6).

The Royals (6-3) hit double digits for the second straight day as Tom Borum (2 for 2, two RBI), Cade Flanley (3 for 3, RBI) and Jordan Choman (2 for 2, three RBI) all came through in a five-inning win.
Tony Molitoris struck out seven in four innings of work, combining with Rob McClay on a three-hit shutout. Brandon Hardiman led the Rangers (3-6) with two hits.
