LEHMAN TWP. – Katie Supey scored two goals and assisted on three others Monday night as Lake-Lehman remained unbeaten in Wyoming Valley Conference field hockey with a 9-0 romp over visiting Abington Heights.

The Division 3-leading Black Knights overwhelmed the second-place team from Division 2, allowing just one shot that was wide of the goal late in the first half and not giving up any penalty corners.

Lake-Lehman made the most of its corners, scoring on the first two when Sarah Sabaluski and Izzy Radel received inserts from Supey and immediately got off shots that produced goals.

Radel added two goals and an assist for Lake-Lehman, which opened an 8-0 lead at halftime.

The game was played with a running clock after Supey scored with 10:41 remaining in the half for a 5-0 advantage.

Taylor Alba had a goal and two assists for the Black Knights.

Sabaluski and Lilli Stepanski each added a goal and an assist.

Morgan Rogers came off the bench to play goalie for Abington Heights in the second half and only allowed one goal while making six saves.

The Lake-Lehman team used the game as a fundraiser for the Play for the Cure Foundation, which supports breast cancer research and related programs.

Wyoming Seminary 11, Elk Lake 0

Aubrey Mytych netted five goals and two assists as Wyoming Seminary rolled over Elk Lake. The Blue Knights out shot their oppnents 35-3 and held an 8-2 advantage in corners.

Alexis Sokach and Jaryah Patterson combined to make three saves in net en route to the shutout for Wyoming Seminary.

Crestwood 10, Hanover Area 0

Jordan Oleginski scored a hat trick as Crestwood scored 10 goals to defeat Hanover area. The Comets out shot Hanover Area 19-1.

Wyoming Area 6, Tunkhannock 1

Bree Bednarski had a hat trick and two assists while Emilie Wanko netted a goal and three assists as the pair led Wyoming Area over Tunkhannock.

Quinla Hammersley scored the lone goal of the night for the Tigers.

Dallas 5, GAR 0

Maddy Kelly scored three times and the Mountaineers defense held GAR without a shot in the victory.
