Berwick coaching legend George Curry passed away, a close friend confirmed Friday morning.

He was 71-years-old.

Curry was diagnosed with ALS midway through the 2015 high school football season. Despite his condition, he coached the entire season.

Curry’s 46-year coaching career ended with a 37-7 loss to Scranton Prep in the D2-3A championship game. His 455 career victories are the most by a Pennsylvania high school football coach.
