UNION TWP. — Emily Johns won three throwing events to help Lake-Lehman defeat Northwest 97-52 Wednesday in Wyoming Valley Conference girls track.
Jade Fry sparked the Black Knights runners by winning three times on the track, taking the 800 and 1,600 meter runs and teaming up on the winning 1600 relay team..
Haley Kubiski added victories in the 200 and 400 meter dashes for Lehman
Sarah Zultevicz posted three wins for Northwest, taking the 300 hurdles, long jump and high jump.
Meyers 105, GAR 14
Meyers won all but the shot put against an undermanned GAR team.
Nalasjia Harris-Johnson won the 100 and 200 meter dashes for the Mohawks and was on the winning 400 relay team.
Holy Redeemer 112, Nanticoke Area 28
Autumn Kaminski won both hurdles events and led off the winning 1,600 meter relay as the Royals rolled to their second straight victory to open the season.
Caroline Banas added victories in the 400-meter dash and the high jump.

Meyers 131, GAR 18
Raheem Twyman was also a triple winner with victories in the 300 hurdles, 110 hurdles and high jump for Meyers.
Je’Vondrea McClair won the triple jump and long jump. GAR’s Anthony Maurent won the 100 for the Grenadiers’ only win.
Lake-Lehman 85, Northwest 65
Dominic Hockenbury was a four-time winner, Joey Chaga won the 110 hurdles and the pole vault and the Black Knights raced to a 2-0 record with the victory.
Hockenbury captured the 800, 1,600 and 3,200 runs and teamed up to help Lehman’s 3,200 relay to victory.
Holy Redeemer 90.5, Nanticoke Area 54.5
Aaron Hoda sparked the Royals with victories in the 1,600 and 3,200 meter runs. Sal Aiello also took two wins for Redeemer, in the triple jump and high jump.
Wyoming Valley West 87, Tunkhannock 62
The Spartans swept the sprint events to earn the victory in a meet held Tuesday.
Lucas Kresge won the javelin and the discus for Tunkhannock.
