WILKES-BARRE — Mark Robinson won four individual events Thursday and Raheem Twyman captured both hurdles events as the Meyers boys track team stunned defending division champion Wyoming Area 105.5-44.5 at Wilkes-Barre Memorial Stadium.

Robinson placed first in 100 and 200 meter dashes, the triple jump and the long jump as the Mohawks moved to 3-0 and into a first-place tie with Lake-Lehman in the WVC Division 2.

Wyoming Area won just two events outright and tied for first place in the shot put while watching its eight-meet league winning streak snapped.

Twyman ran the 300 meter hurdles in 40.6 seconds after winning the 110 hurdles in 15 seconds.

Dallas 87,

Wyo. Valley West 62

John Zardecki won three distance runs and Uzee Ukattah won three sprints as Dallas defeated Wyoming Valley West.

Pittston Area 102, Tunkhannock 54

James Pliska won three events and Naseem Guillaume was also a triple winner as the Patriots pulled out victory.

Pliska won the 100 and 400 meter dashes and took first place in the triple jump. Guillame was part of the winning 1,600 and 3,200 relay teams and won the 110 hurdles.

Coughlin 122,

Crestwood 27

Coughlin’s Ron Sepkoski finished first in the 110 and 300 hurdles as Coughlin topped Crestwood.

Teammate Franco Balbuena was first in the 800 and 1,600-meter run and was on the winning 3,200-meter relay with Mike Brown, Mikey Koury and Zack Miller. Jacob Khalife first in the shot put and the discus.

GIRLS TRACK

Dallas 108,

Wyo. Valley West 42

Abigial Zolner posted wins in both hurdle events for Dallas.

Nina Dellarte won three events for Wyoming Valley West. Ashley Blannard posted two wins.

Meyers 38.5

The Warriors won their ninth straight league meet to move into a first-place tie atop Division 2 with Hanover Area. Shelby Stackhouse (100 hurdles, high jump), Vanessa Shedlock (400, triple jump) and Laura Heinzelmeier (1,600, 3,200) each won two events apiece.

Nalasjia Harris-Johnson claimed first in the 100 and 200 for the Mohawks.

Crestwood 89,

Coughlin 61

Crestwood’s Marissa Margalis placed first in the javelin and the shot put and Idelys Reyes was first in the 100 and 200 dashes in the Comets’ win.

Coughlin’s Emma Fortune was first in the 800 and 1,600-meter run.
