Holy Redeemer swept Wyoming Area 25-9, 25-9 and 25-10 for the Royals’ 158th consecutive Wyoming Valley Conference girls volleyball win and ninth-straight undefeated season.
Brynn Kukoski had 12 kills, 11 service points and five digs, Lauren Slavoski tallied 19 service points, nine kills and an ace and Courtney Kijek recorded 28 assists, 10 service points, three blocks and two kills to lead the way for Holy Redeemer. Amanda Curcio added eight kills and one block for the Royals and Kassie Schinski also provided eight points, four digs and two kills.
MMI 3, Crestwood 0
MMI Prep defeated Crestwood 25-20, 25-23 and 25-17.
Dana Caratto (8 kills, 5 digs, 5 service points), Madison Perchak (11 kills, 8 service points, 5 aces), Desiree Dinko (7 service points, 2 aces, 2 digs), Lauryn Banyas (18 assists, 7 service points, 3 aces), Shae Heft (4 digs, 1 service point) and Gabbey Kupsho (9 service points, 4 digs, 2 aces, 2 assists) led the way for the Preppers during the match.
Tunkhannock 3, Dallas 0
Amanda Hardy recorded 20 kills, 11 service points and four aces, Megan Straley had 11 service points and an ace and Mikayla Mills added 12 kills as Tunkhannock swept Dallas 25-14, 28-26 and 25-15.
Dallas was led by the play of Catherine Dillon (8 service points, 3 digs, 2 kills, 2 aces, 1 block), Katheryn Roberts (6 kills, 2 blocks) and Caitlyn Pike (11 assists, 4 service points, 1 kill, 1 dig).
BOYS WATER POLO
Wyoming Valley West 15, Hazleton Area 8
Logan Fluegel and Jared Lybolt each hit the back of the net four times as Wyoming Valley West topped Hazleton Area on Thursday. Brent Wilbur added another three goals to the Spartans’ cause and Josh Zawatski made 15 saves to get the win.
GIRLS WATER POLO
Hazleton Area 17, Wyoming Valley West 9
Hazleton Area scored 17 goals en route to a victory over Wyoming Valley West while on the road on Thursday.
The Spartans were led by Alexis Ivanitch who recorded four goals during the contest.
Valley West honored its seniors Felicia Brittain, Hannah Rogers, Clare Winton, Jared Lybolt, Lucas Talley, Brent Wilbur and foreign exchange student Ayuto Sakai on Thursday night.
The team will take part in state playoffs on Saturday. They will play their first single-elimination game at 10 a.m. at Wilson’s West Lawn Pool against Perkiomen Valley.

VOLLEYBALL
Keystone College 3, King’s 0
King’s dropped its final match of the year, falling to visiting Keystone College on Friday night in Scandlon Gym.
Game scores were 25-19, 25-23 and 25-16.
Katelyn Shifflett led King’s with eight kills and four service aces while Jill Korgeski followed with six kills and five digs. Alexis Swagler tallied three kills while Maddie Kumm distributed 21 assists. Elen O’Donnell posted 17 digs while Brenna Smudde had 16 digs. Aubrey Gryskiewicz finished with six digs while Jessica Carr contributed with two kills. Olivia Musto chipped in with two blocks.
MEN’S SOCCER
King’s 3, Delaware Valley 1
Daniel Lorandini scored the first two goals of the game and King’s defense limited Delaware Valley to just two shots as the Monarchs wrapped up first-place in the Freedom Conference regular-season with a 3-1 road win over Delaware Valley College Friday night in Doylestown.
With the win, King’s clinched the top seed and home field advantage for next week’s Freedom Conference Tournament for the first time in program history. The Monarchs improved to 15-3-1 overall and 5-1-1 in conference play. Delaware Valley, meanwhile, slipped to 5-13-1 and 0-7.
Daniel Lorandini gave the Monarchs a 1-0 lead just 2:06 into the game off an assist from Scott Colombo. The Aggies tied the game at the 22:49 mark of the first half when Calum Devaney scored on a header off a corner kick.
But the Monarchs responded just 91 seconds later when Lorandini dribbed around an Aggie defender to score unassisted, giving King’s a 2-1 lead at the half.
King’s would push across the final goal of the game 4:01 into the second half when Brenda Raab scored off a corner kick assist from Chris Nygren.
KIng’s outshot the Aggies 21-2 and held a 7-2 advantage in corner kicks. King’s starting goalie Owen Geedey played 60 minutes and allowed one goal while back-up Tyler Wilson played the final 30 and made the lone save for King’s.
