TY FISHER

Berwick
Fisher was the top runner as the Bulldogs went 17-1 to finish in second place in the Wyoming Valley Conference. He finished third in the conference championship meet to again help the team place second. Fisher capped his career with a state medal, placing 23rd at the PIAA Championships after finishing fifth in District 2.
BRYCE ZAPUSEK
Sophomore
Holy Redeemer
Zapusek led the Royals to a state top 10 finish in Class 2A by finishing 27th at the PIAA Championships. He was third in the season-opening Cliff Robbins Invitational, eighth at the WVC Championship Meet and seventh in District 2. The district finish was part of the team’s second-place finish that was necessary to qualify for the state meet.
MITCHELL ROME
Sophomore
Dallas
Rome was part of Dallas conference, district and state championships for the second straight season. He was a consistent contributor on a team that extended its conference winning streak to 102. Rome finished eighth in Cliff Robbins Invitational, 10th in Wyoming Valley Conference Championship Meet, sixth in District 2 Class 2A and 37th in the state Class 2A.
AARON HODA
Senior
Holy Redeemer
Holy Redeemer had finished third in the WVC (16-2) and third in the conference championship meet, behind Dallas and Berwick both times, when it arrived at the District 2 Class 2A championships to face the same two teams, and more, needing a top-two finish to reach the state meet. Hoda’s fourth-place individual finish led the Royals to second place and a spot in Hershey, which they turned into a 10th-place state finish. He was also ninth in the conference meet.
JOSH WYANDT
Junior
Dallas
Wyandt was the second Mountaineer to the finish line during title repeats at both the state championships, where he was 30th overall, and the Wyoming Valley Conference Meet, where he was fourth. He also finished 19th at the District 2 Class 2A championships to earn an individual medal along with the team title. Wyandt was part of a team that was unbeaten champion in the WVC for the sixth straight year.
ADAM BORTON
Junior
Dallas
Borton was the third Dallas finisher at both the District 2 (13th overall) and PIAA (33rd overall) championships in Class 2A while helping Dallas repeat its team titles. He was also part of the lineup throughout another unbeaten WVC championship, including the conference meet.
