WILKES-BARRE — Jason Klusewitz scored 12 points while Josh Malkemes added nine more to help Crestwood defeat Coughlin 46-33 in WVC boys basketball action on Tuesday.

Coughlin was led by Jose Rivera who finished with 10 points.

Wyoming Area 60, Hanover Area 25

The Warriors romped the Hawkeyes led by 17 points from Tony Saitta, who also made five 3-pointers.

Nick Minnich finished with 10 points to lead Hanover Area.

Meyers 79, Northwest 38

Meyers had 21 points in the first quarter and another 27 in the third en route to a huge victory over Northwest. Julian Maffei connected on six 3-pointers as he ended the night with 20 points to lead the Mohawks.

Teammate Raheem Twyman was 6 for 7 from the foul line, pitching in with 14 points for Meyers.

Jesse Tarnowski totalled 12 points to lead the Rangers.

Hazleton Area 69, Dallas 38

Hazleton Area scored double digits in all four quarters as they went on to top visiting Dallas. Bobby Planutis was 5 of 6 from the foul line as he finished with 19 points while Da’Mir Faison added another 14 for the Cougars.

Tanner Gattuso hit six field goals to lead the Mountaineers with 12 points.

Pittston Area 52, Tunkhannock 48

Jordan Black (14 points), Chris Klein (10) and Alex McAndrew (8) led the way for Pittston Area as it edged Tunkhannock.

Tony Maloney was 10 of 12 from the free-throw line and finished with 16 points for the Tigers.

Berwick 73, Wyoming Valley West 64

Tyler Evans was 8 for 8 from the foul line and finished with a game-high 25 points as he led Berwick to victory over Wyoming Valley West.

Jude Goodard contributed 12 points, while Max Melito added 10 for the Bulldogs.

Both Tyler Yankosky and Aaron Austin scored 16 points apiece for the Spartans.

Wyoming Seminary 35, MMI 33, OT

Jeff Bevacqua and Patrick Ganter each scored 15 points for the Blue Knights with Bevacqua netting three of the team’s five points in overtime.

John Stish scored a game-high 17 points to lead MMI, while Ed Herbner chipped in 11 points.

GAR 87, Lake-Lehman 60

Four Grenadiers reached double figures paced by 18 points from Dajon Rush.

Lake-Lehman’s Adam Motovidlak had a huge night, leading all scorers with 24 points including draining five shots from behind the arc.

Molly Storz hit a trio of 3-pointers and two pointers as she led Lake-Lehman past GAR with 16 points on Monday night. Mackenzie Love added 14 more points for the Black Knights.

Wyoming Area 65, Hanover Area 59

Sarah Holweg led the way for Wyoming Area, scoring 20 points, as the team went on to defeat Hanover Area on the road Monday night. Lydia Edwards (14 points) and Katie Wolfgang (10 points) each reached double digits for the Warriors.
