Meyers held Wyoming Seminary to just 10 first-half points en route to a 49-25 win on Thursday, clinching the WVC Division 3 title on the road.

Omar Kelly led the Mohawks with nine points.

Jeff Bevacqua scored a game-high 15 points for the Knights, who hit more shots from behind the arc (four) than from inside it (two).

GAR 85, Northwest 60

Tino Altavilla knocked down 10 of the Grenadiers’ 12 threes to finish with 32 points. Dajon Rush had the other two and added 22 points himself.

The Rangers nearly matched GAR from long range, hitting 11 3-pointers with Jaxson Yaple (21 points) getting five. Sam Saxe scored 19 points.

Wyoming Valley West 64, Coughlin 56

Aaron Austin hit three of his five 3-pointers in the first quarter and led all scorers with 23 points. Tyler Yankosky added 17 for the Spartans.

Jose Rivera scored 20 for the Crusaders.

Hazleton Area 88, Tunkhannock 71

Bobby Planutis broke out in the second quarter, scoring 18 of his game-high 29 points to fuel the Cougars on the road. Joe Grula added 13 points.

Tony Maloney (27 points) and Sean Harder (20) both had big nights for the Tigers.

Holy Redeemer 49, MMI Prep 38

John Carr scored 14 points while Jason Stachokus and Zach Brennan had 13 apiece to account for the bulk of the Royals’ offense.

Ed Herbener has 12 points to top the Preppers.

Wyoming Area 67, Hanover Area 51

Sam Greenfield led four Warriors in double figures with 22 points in a road win. Kyle Musto (14 points), Kyre Zielinski (12) and Matt Wright (10) also contributed.

Tyler Diggs (17) and Nick Minich (16) paced the Hawkeyes.

Nanticoke 65, Lake-Lehman 36

Zack Cardone scored 12 points off the bench to lead a balanced attack for the Trojans, as 13 different players scored. Luke Butczynski finished with 11 points while Brent Piontkowski had 10.

Cole Spencer scored nine of his team-high 12 points in the fourth quarter for the Black Knights.

Berwick 58, Pittston Area 48

Tyler Evans scored 29 points while connecting on 10 foul shots to pace the Bulldogs, who stormed out to an 11-point lead after the first quarter and didn’t look back.

Jude Goodard added 11 points to Berwick’s victory.

Dylan Osticco led the with 16 points and Matt McGlynn finished with 12 for Pittston Area.
