Two tripleheaders at Wilkes University will be part of the PIAA state basketball schedule featuring Wyoming Valley Conference boys and girls teams this weekend.

On Friday, a Class 4A girls game starts the Wilkes tripleheader as District 2 runner-up Berwick (16-9) plays District 4 third seed Jersey Shore (19-6) at 5 p.m. Another Class 4A girls game follows at 6:30 p.m. as D2 champion Nanticoke (25-1) plays D3 fourth seed West Perry (18-8).

The final game at Wilkes on Friday will be D2-3A boys champion Holy Redeemer (17-8) playing D12 fourth seed World Communications (13-12) at 8 p.m.

On Saturday at Wilkes, action opens at 4 p.m. as D2-5A girls runner-up Wyoming Valley West (20-4) plays D3 fourth seed Twin Valley (20-7). A Class 4A boys game follows at 5:30 p.m. as District 2 runner-up GAR (18-7) plays District 4 runner-up Selinsgrove (20-6). At 7 p.m., D2-3A girls champion Holy Redeemer (21-5) faces D12 fourth seed Bodine (7-10).

The Nanticoke boys are the only WVC team on the road. The D2-4A third-seeded Trojans (18-7) play D11 champion Bethlehem Catholic (21-6) at 4:30 p.m Saturday at Bethlehem Freedom High School.

Friday’s winners will play Tuesday. Saturday’s winners play Wednesday.
