Wyoming Area wrestlers Tyler Martin (132 pounds) and Corey Mruk (160) both won their respective matches with pins to lead the Warriors past Mountain View 45-18 Tuesday. Martin pinned his opponent in 44 seconds while Mruk took 5:03.

Wyoming Area’s Charlie Banashefski won the 145-pound class with a 5-2 decision.

SWIMMING

Dawgs top Warriors

Both the Berwick girls (120-50) and boys (92-54) earned wins at Wyoming Area.

The girls won 11 out of 12 events as Becca Decker (50 free, 100 free) and Sydney Lloyd (100 fly, 500 free) took first in two apiece. Becca Dymond won the 100 breast for the Warriors.

Dyllan Weaver (100 fly, 100 back) and Chris Michael (50 free, 100 breast) led the Bulldogs boys. Wyoming Area’s Seth White (200 free) and Austin Alder (100 free) each had a win plus a victory in the 200 free relay.

Dallas earns sweep

In a meet held Monday, both Mountaineers squads defeated host Bloomsburg. The girls won 98-87 and the men prevailed 116-64.

For the girls, Abbie Zolner (200 IM, 100 fly) and Melissa Leonard (200 free, 500 free) each won two individual events while also taking first on the 400 free relay team.

On the boys side, it was Mikail Krochta (200 IM, 100 back, 200 medley relay) and Troy Reinert (50 free, 100 fly, 200 medley relay) leading the way with victories.

Madison Borum led the Black Knights with 13 points in a non-conference matchup.

Savannah Purdy added eight points in the loss.
