WEST PITTSTON — Victory Baseball opened its fifth season Thursday night at West Pittston Little League field.

The organization gives adults with physical and/or mental challenges a chance to step on the diamond and give baseball a shot. It stems from the Little League Baseball Challenger program.

The Yankees took on the Phillies, which includes players from all over Luzerne County, with the game ending in a tie Thursday night. There are no losers, just winners in Victory Baseball.

Victory Baseball is part of Victory Sports, a non-profit organization. The group also sponsors basketball in the winter and year-round dances and plans are in place for yoga classes, movie nights and much more.
