Mike Bazadona scored twice for Wyoming Valley West, while Jackson Williams and Edo Lanzini also struck the back of the net as the Spartans topped Dallas 4-0 in boys soccer action on Saturday.

Coughlin 8, MMI Prep 1

Henry Sanchez recorded a hat trick as the Crusaders rolled in a win over the Preppers.

Junior Martinez and George Oko each finished with a goal and two assists, while Steven Johnson and David Kosik combined to make three saves in the victory.

Jai Hoover scored MMI’s lone goal of the game.

Hanover Area 3, Wyoming Seminary 2 (OT)

In a game played Friday, Ameila Hossage broke a 2-2 tie in double overtime to give the Hawkeyes the win over Wyoming Seminary on the road.

Hossage scored a goal in the first half to open the scoring and Nina Lamoreux tallied another for Hanover Area.

Wyoming Seminary was led by Claudia Corchado, who scored both goals.

TENNIS

Hazleton Area 3, Berwick 2

Berwick took both doubles matches, but Stephanie Mazurek, Lily Nowak and Sofia Losen all won their singles matches for Hazleton Area, allowing them to narrowly win on Friday.

Tunkhannock 4, Crestwood 1

Haley Puterbaugh, Brianna Grey and Kaitlyn Markovitz all won singles match ups while the team of Emily Chesner and Leah Rome won in doubles as Tunkhannock defeated Crestwood on Friday.

The team of Emily Shiplett and Morgan Novosel grabbed the only win of the evening for the Comets.

Wyoming Seminary 5, Wyoming Valley West 0

Megan Obeid topped Bryden Peters in No. 1 singles 6-2, 6-0 in the Blue Knights sweep of the Spartans on Friday.

Isabella Sobejano and Sharon Zhou won their No. 1 doubles match 6-1, 6-3.

Hubert Bournival picked up medalist honors as Wyoming Seminary defeated Hanover Area at Wyoming Valley Country Club (par 35) on Friday.

Teammates Liam Gilroy shot a 45, Jarod Godlewski shot a 47 and Noah Munley finished with a 45.

For Hanover, Shelby Monk, Devin Senk and Dave Schwartz each shot a 49, while Joey Berkant shot a 50.
