Logan Fluegel was a four-time winner and part of three pool record-setting runs Wednesday, leading the Wyoming Valley West boys swimming team to a 103-67 victory over Dallas at Dallas High School.

Fluegel won the 100 butterfly in 53.91 seconds to set a new standard at the Dallas pool, and swam on two relay teams that also set pool records. He also captured the 200 IM.

The Spartans team of Fluegel, Stanley Zaneski, Zac Rosencrans and Josh Zawatski broke the mark in the 200 medley relay in 1:40.98. Fluegel, Zaneski, Zawatski and Ivan Volynets later set a new mark by winning the 400 freestyle relay in 3:22.06.

Rosencrans also set a pool record by winning the 100 breaststroke in 1:01.76.

Jared Krawetz won both sprint races for Dallas, taking the 50 and 100 freestyle events.

Hazleton Area 99, Berwick 71

Paul Flowers was a four-time winner as the Cougars bested Berwick.

Flowers captured the 200 freestyle and 100 backstroke and was part of the winning 200 medley and 200 freestyle relay teams.

Seth Platukis was also a member of those victorious relay teams and also captured the 50 freestyle.

Chris Michael won the 100 freestyle, 100 breastroke and swam on the winning 400 medley relay team for Berwick.

Girls Swimming

Dallas 101, Wyoming Valley West 85

Annalise Cheshire was a four-time winner to take the Mountaineers to victory.

Cheshire won the 50 freestyle and 100 freestyle events, and was part of the winning 200 and 400 freestyle relay teams. Abby Zolner was also part of those winning relay teamas and captured the 500 freestyle for her third victory.

Wyoming Valley West’s Chelsea Mackiewicz won the 100 butterly and swam on the winning 200 medley relay team with Alexis Ivanitch — who also captured the 100 breaststroke.

Hazleton Area 97, Berwick 73

Maggie Yannes was was a three-time winner, leading the Cougars to victory.

Yannes captured the 100 backstroke and was part of the winning 200 medley and 400 freestyle relay teams.

Becca Decker won the 50 and 100 freestyle events and was a member of the winning 200 freestyle relay team for Berwick.
