Kristen Coffay pitched three perfect innings as Holy Redeemer defeated GAR 15-0 Monday in a Wyoming Valley Conference Division 3 softball game shortened due to the 15-run rule.

Coffay struck out six as the Royals recorded their second consecutive perfect game against winless GAR. Morgan Bienkowski hurled a five-inning perfect game against the Grenadiers on Friday.

Abby Shorts led the Royals offensively, going 3 for 3.

Nanticoke 6,

Crestwood 0

Jenna Lipowski homered and knocked in three runs and Miranda Bohn fired a two-hitter as Nanticoke clinched the Division 2 championship.

Bohn recorded six strikeouts and was 2 for 3 with an RBI at the plate.

Sydney Sobolewski had both Crestwood hits, including a double.

Tunkhannock 7,

Berwick 4

Paige Mokychic homered and Hope Jones struck out 11 as Tunkhannock moved closer to securing the third seed in the District 2 Class 4A playoffs.

Kendra Schultz added two RBI for the Tigers. Mokychic, Jones and Erin Dunn finished with two hits apiece.

Sammi Starr was 2 for 4 with a double and two runs scored for Berwick. Kylie Levan was 2 for 3.

Hanover Area 4,

Wyoming Seminary 0

Sarah Tuzinski pitched a six-hit shutout and Shannon Keating backed her by driving home two runs in the Hawkeyes’ victory.

Tuzinski struck out 10 and walked just one in the complete-game pitching victory, and also had an RBI at the plate. Lindsey Mendygral doubled and drove home Hanover Area’s other run, and Karly Bennett and Emilee Bobos also had doubles for Hanover Area.

Wyoming Valley West 17,

Coughlin 0 (6 inn.)

Freshman Morgan Shedletsky shut out the Crusaders on six hits and Colleen Cwalina sparked the Spartans during her 3 for 5 day.

Kaitlyn Rincavage also had three hits for the Spartans and Valley West scored nine times in the seventh inning to put the game away. Cwalina, Morgan Klosko and Audrea Welles all had doubles in the Valley West victory.

Molly Poray had three of Coughlin’s six hits.

Lake-Lehman 8,

Meyers 0

Cassie Konopki was 2 for 3 with a double and two RBI as Lake-Lehman defeated Meyers in a key game for seeding in the District 2 Class 3A playoffs.

Chloe VanGorder and Corinna Scoblick also had two RBI for the Black Knights, who distanced themselves from other teams for the fourth seed. Abbey Hogan fanned seven to pick up the complete-game win.

Dakota Zyskowski and Abbi Satoff each had two hits for Meyers.

Wyoming Area 7,

Dallas 2

Kristi Skok was 2 for 3 with a triple and four RBI to pace Wyoming Area. Bri Pizzano was 2 for 4.

Gwen Glatz pitched five inning to pick up the win.

Maddie Kelley was 2 for 3 with an RBI for Dallas, which totaled five hits.
