The Binghamton Senators (23 years, 1 month) are the youngest team in the league, with 15 members of their 27-man opening-night roster aged 22 and under. With an average age of 24 years, nine months, the Penguins are the fifth oldest team in the AHL. The youngest Penguin is Morrow, who is 19. Steve MacIntyre is the oldest at age 32.
