Juda Hope was gunned down while he stood outside a Hazleton bar.

Evaristo Tlatenchi was fatally attacked inside his Dana Street, Wilkes-Barre, house.

Cesar Robles died when he was shot in the back while running to help a woman being sexually assaulted inside his house in Hazleton.

In all three cases, police have filed homicide charges against their alleged killers – who so far have escaped capture.

Jan. 16, 2011: Hope, 23, was with a group of people outside the Penn Place Tavern at 40 N. Wyoming St., Hazleton, when, authorities say, a large fight broke out between rival gang members. Hope was fatally shot; Vladimir Ruiz died from multiple stab wounds.

Police charged Willis Gonzalez, 23, last known address of 441 E. Diamond Ave., Hazleton, with criminal homicide in the shooting death of Hope. Investigators say they know Gonzalez boarded a plane to the Dominican Republic after the homicide.

Charges of criminal homicide and firearms not to be carried without a license were filed against Gonzalez.

Rodolfo Hiraldo-Perez, 26, was sentenced to life in prison and Angel Sanchez, 20, was sentenced to 17 to 34 years in state prison for their roles in the killing of Ruiz.

Jan. 29, 2011: Tlatenchi and his girlfriend, Maria Tapia, spent the night dancing and shopping before returning to their Dana Street house in Wilkes-Barre. As they slept, Tapia's ex-husband, Evaristo Tapia, 34, allegedly forced open a kitchen window and brutally attacked Tlatenchi, stabbing him multiple times.

Maria Tapia was stabbed in the arm, police said.

Police recovered Evaristo Tapia's vehicle abandoned on Park Avenue. Police believe he fled to Mexico.

Evaristo Tapia is charged with criminal homicide, burglary and two counts of aggravated assault.

Oct. 8, 2011: Robles went to investigate a disturbance inside his house on East Chestnut Street in Hazleton. When he reached the bottom of stairs, he was fatally shot in the back, allegedly by Rafael Enrique Gonzalez-Aguirre, 39.

Police believe Gonzalez-Aguirre had sexually assaulted a woman in the house before he shot Robles.

Gonzalez-Aguirre is charged with criminal homicide, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, unlawful restraint, terroristic threats and reckless endangerment.
