(AP) The wife of Republican Mitt Romney is describing the November election as a vote for the future of children, saying many women voters think "enough is enough" because of the poor economy.

Speaking on several morning talk shows, Ann Romney says she believes women will vote Republican because they care about jobs for their families and the legacy of debt to their children.

She repeatedly cast the election as an economic one. She says women will choose to elect a president like her husband who "knows how jobs are created and who understands the economy."

Regarding the future of the country, she says, quote, "It's time for the grownup to come, the man that's going to take this very seriously and take the future of our children very, very seriously."
