CAMPS/CLINICS
 
Stan Waleski Black Friday Basketball Camp will be held at the St. Joseph's Oblates gym in Laflinon November 23 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. for boys and girls in grades 2 through 8. Registrations are currently being accepted. The camp stresses skills, fundamentals, competitions, team play and fun with all players receiving a certificate and t shirt. Wilkes University Women's Lacrosse will hold a lacrosse clinic for girls ages 3-18 on Saturday, January 19th. The clinic will run from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. with registration beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the University Center. Cost of the clinic is $40. LEAGUES
 
Hanover Area Youth Basketball registration for boys and girls grades 3-6 who reside in Hanover will be held Nov. 10 at noon at Memorial Elementary. The cost is $35. Coaches and sponsors are needed. For more information, call 822-8797 or email [email protected].
 
MEETINGS
 
Ashley/Newtown Little League will hold its monthly meeting Nov. 11 at 6 p.m. at the Fireman's grounds. Nominations for elections will be held. Anyone who wants to be on the Board may attend. The public is welcome.
Crestwood Boys Basketball Booster Club will hold its next meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12 at Cavanaugh's Grille. The topics of discussion will be the Winter Social, Meet the Players Night and an update on the 7th and 8th grade teams.
Kingston/Forty Fort Little League Board of Directors will meet Monday, Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. at the Kingston Rec. Center. Interested members are encouraged to attend.
Swoyersville Little League will meet on Monday Nov 19. Board members meeting at 6:30 p.m., regular meeting at 7:30 p.m. at Swoyersville borough building.
Wyoming Area Diamond Club will meet on Tuesday, Nov 13 in room 129 at 7 p.m. at the Secondary Center. Parents of 7th - 12th graders are encouraged to attend.
 
PHYSICALS
 
Nanticoke winter sports physicals will be given at the office of Dr. Jon Olenginski, 4 East Main St., Nanticoke Saturday, Nov. 10 from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Any athlete who has not had a physical for a fall sport must get one prior to the start of practice on Nov. 16. PIAA permission forms and more information is available online at www.gnasd.com or at the athletic director's office.

UPCOMING EVENTS/OTHER
 
Northwest Area Boys and Girls Basketball Teams will be sponsoring the Third Annual Blue White Night on Saturday, November 24th. The basketball games will start at 5 p.m. with the Biddy and Jr High games, 6 p.m. Girls & Boys Varsity Games and 7:30 p.m. Men's and Women's Alumni Games. All proceeds will benefit the boys and girls basketball teams.
