Misericordia University Baseball Winter Academy will run five consecutive Sundays beginning Jan. 13 and will include sessions in hitting, throwing mechanics/pitching, and pitching. Penn State (Main Campus) Baseball Clinic The division one coaching staff from Penn State University will hold a baseball clinic at Electric City Baseball & Softball Academy for players of all ages on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013 from 2-6pm and Sunday, January, 13, 2013 from 10am-2pm. Stan Waleski Black Friday Basketball Camp will be held at the St. Joseph's Oblates gym in Laflin on Nov. 23 from 8 a.m. to noon for boys and girls in grades 2-8. The camp stresses skills, fundamentals, competitions, team play and fun, with all players receiving a certificate and t-shirt. MEETINGS

 

Hanover Area Quarterback Club will hold a meeting at 7 p.m. today at Major League Sports Barin Sugar Notch. Any person who is interested in becoming a board member is encouraged to attend.

Hanover Area Wrestling Booster Club will meet today at 6:30 p.m. at the school cafeteria.

Lake Lehman Baseball Booster Club will have its next monthly meeting today at 7:30 p.m. at Harvey's Lake Grotto.

Luzerne County Lightning AAU Basketball will hold final try outs Sunday, Nov 25 at the Wilkes-Barre Jewish Community Center for the 2013 travel season which starts in March. Please visit: lightningboltbball.com for try-out information or email [email protected].

Rock Recreation Center is accepting registration applications for the 2013 Upward Basketball Season. The league is open to girls and boys Pre-K through 6th Grade. Early registration ends Saturday, Dec. 1. Player evaluation day and the final registration is Saturday, Dec. 8. UPCOMING EVENTS/OTHER

 

Mountaintop Area Hockey League will play an on going Tuesday series of street hockey-roller hockey games beginning today at the Wright Township Municipal Park Rink.(weather permitting). Starting time is 4:30 p.m. Ages 12 and younger Cub Division will play at 4:30 p.m. Ages 13-17 Teen Division will play after the Cub Division and the Young Adult Division for ages 17 and older will play a special exhibition game after the Teen Division. Games are open to the public.

Northwest Area Boys and Girls Basketball Teams will be sponsoring the Third Annual Blue-White Night on Saturday, Nov. 24. The basketball games will start at 5 p.m. with the Biddy and junior high games, girls and boys varsity games at 6 p.m., and men's and women's alumni games at 7:30 p.m. All proceeds will benefit the boys and girls basketball teams. Wyoming Area Football will have PIAA first round Advance Admission Tickets for Saturdays game being sold at the High School. Adult price is $6 and Student is $3.
