Electric City Baseball & Softball Academy will hold its Annual MLB Scouts Winter Hitting League for boys and girls of all ages with the following instructors: Bobby Felmy (Giants), Matt Hyde (Yankees), Greg Legg (Phillies), Wayne Lydon (Blue Jays), Sean Moran (Cardinals) and Eric Valent (Phillies). Sandlot High School Baseball Camp for girls and boys ages 7-12 will run for six weeks every Saturday and Sunday beginning Jan. 26 until Mar. 3. Saturdays will run from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m.or 12:15 p.m. until 2:15 p.m. and Sundays 2:15 p.m. until 4:15 p.m. Participants are to pick one session. Wyoming Valley Laxerz will hold a second Lacrosse Clinic at the Greater Pittston YMCA on Sunday, Jan 20. Registration for the clinic will begin at 9:30 a.m. and the session will run from 10 p.m. until 11:30 a.m. Anyone who registered and attended the first clinic will not have to register again. Cost for each clinic is $20 a child with a family discount of $5 for each additional child. A $10 discount will be given to those who attended the first clinic in December.
North East Tornadoes '04 Girls Soccer Team has several roster openings for eligible girls. This will be a nine-hole, scramble event with teams of four limited to three clubs each. The entry fee is $25.
