King's College will host the Philadelphia Lacrosse Association's free Coaches Clinic Sunday, Jan. 20 starting at 9 a.m. The clinic is for anyone wanting to improve their knowledge of the game. Featured speakers include Jim Ricardo, Misericordia University's head coach; Steve Matusiewicz, King's College assistant coach; Andy Orlowski, King's College head coach and Steve Kotch, Greater Philadelphia Lacrosse official.
Sandlot High School Baseball Academy will be hosting its softball camp from Jan. 27 through March 3. The camp will run on Sundays from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. The camp will be instructed by local high school and travel coaches. The cost will be $150. Wilkes Women's Lacrosse will hold a lacrosse clinic for girls ages 3-18 on Saturday, Jan. 19. The clinic will run from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m., with registration beginning at 9:30 a.m. in the University Center. Cost of the clinic is $40. Wyoming Valley Laxerz will hold a second Lacrosse Clinic at the Greater Pittston YMCA on Sunday, Jan 20. Registration for the clinic will begin at 9:30 a.m. and the session will run from 10 p.m. until 11:30 a.m. Anyone who registered and attended the first clinic will not have to register again. Cost for each clinic is $20 a child with a family discount of $5 for each additional child. A $10 discount will be given to those who attended the first clinic in December.
Kingston Recreation Center Softball League registration is underway. There are eight teams for all men's leagues, including Sunday morning, and 12 teams for the Sunday co-ed league. If paid by Feb. 17, the fee is $250. The fee after that date is $275. Also a wooden bat league is set for Fridays and the cost is $125.

West Side Little League will hold its first registration for the 2013 baseball and softball season Saturday, Jan. 26 from 10 a.m. to noon at the Luzerne Borough Building on Academy Street. Luzerne, Courtdale, Pringle, Edwardsville, Larksville and Plymouth players may register. The cost is $80 for an individual and $125 for a family, which includes fundraiser responsibilities. Registration is for four to 12-year-olds. Three forms of proof of residency are required. New players must provide a copy of their birth certificate. Wyoming Area Baseball will hold registration on Sunday, Jan. 27 in the cafeteria of the Secondary Center from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. This will be the only day to register so all players from grades 7th through 12th must register on this day. A representative from Battaglia's Sporting Goods will be present, spikes and various baseball gear and clothing can be purchased.

Penn State Wilkes-Barre is currently accepting applications for the position of Head Men's Soccer Coach. This position reports directly to the Director of Athletics. The qualified person will plan and direct team during all practices and games; recruit academically and athletically qualified student-athletes; emphasize academic success to student-athletes; supervise assistant coaches; and promote the soccer program. This is a part-time, fixed-term 2 position. Bachelor's degree and 1-2 years of successful coaching and/or playing experience is required. Applicant must be at least 25 years old.
