A four-county search for a man charged with viewing and sharing child pornography ended with his capture in Columbia County on Thursday.

Jeremy Joseph Box, 28, of Bloomsburg, was found at his place of employment near Bloomsburg at about noon. He was wanted on charges he used the Internet to download videos of children engaged in sex acts from July 2011 through December.

Box is the sixth person charged since Nov. 1 on child pornography charges by the Luzerne County Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, which consists of Luzerne County detectives and state police computer crime unit.

We went to four different counties looking for him, but we got him, said Luzerne County Detective Charles Balogh.

Box was arraigned by District Judge Doug D. Brewer in Millville on 54 counts of possession of child pornography and one count each of dissemination of photos and videos of children engaged in sex acts and criminal use of communication facility. Box was jailed at the Columbia County Prison for lack of $75,000 bail.

According to the criminal complaint:

Balogh received a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children about someone attempting to email child pornography to an account, which was traced to Box at a residence in Honesdale, Wayne County.

Investigators went to the Honesdale address on Thursday and learned Box had moved.

Locations in Pike and Lackawanna counties were checked until Box was found at his job on the Bloomsburg-Berwick Highway.

Box allegedly admitted he had child pornography on a laptop computer that had 54 files of children engaged in sex acts, the complaint alleges.

Other people arrested on child pornography or child prostitution charges since November, according to court records:

• Nov. 8: Alexander Passetti, 19, of Glen Lyon, charged after lewd images of children were allegedly found on a laptop computer when it was serviced.

• Nov. 13: Steven E. Brown, 27, of Kingston, charged with soliciting sex from a male teenager.

• Nov. 20: Stephen Joseph Yedniak, 25, of Swoyersville, charged with possessing videos of children engaged in sex acts on a computer.

• Nov. 28: Jhow W. Calderon, 27, of Hazleton, and Diesny Cabrera-Moreta, 23, of West Hazleton, were separately charged on child pornography charges.
