Carolyn Theresa Chipego and Nicholas Stephen Gergen were united in the sacrament of matrimony July 28, 2012, at St. John the Baptist Church, Larksville. The Rev. Gerald Gurka officiated at the 1 p.m. double-ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Daniel and Linda Chipego, Shavertown. The groom is the son of Stephen and Mary Ann Gergen, Cincinnati, Ohio. The bride was escorted down the aisle by her father. She chose her sister, Nicole Chipego, as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Christine Zavala, sister of the bride; Myndi Gergen, sister-in-law of the groom; and Michelle Poley, Amanda Davidson and Justine Muncy, friends of the bride. Flower girls were Cali Gergen, niece of the groom, and Seven Muncy. The groom chose his brother, Mark Gergen, as best man. Groomsmen were Matthew Gergen, brother of the groom, and Jeffrey Harden, Justin Hall and Bryan Hart, friends of the groom. Ring bearers were Nathan and Nolan Gergen, nephews of the groom. An evening cocktail hour and reception were held at the Woodlands Inn and Resort. A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at the Café. A bridal shower was hosted by the mother of the bride and Theresa Grescavage, godmother of the bride, at Irem Country Club. The bride is a graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School and The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio. She is employed as a pharmacy manager by CVS Pharmacy, Columbus, Ohio. The groom is a graduate of Elder High School, Cincinnati, Ohio, and The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio. He is a pharmacy manager for Walgreen’s Pharmacy, Polaris Parkway, Columbus, Ohio.
