Cougars women rally behind McDanielâ??s 28

DALLAS – Tyann McDaniel scored 28 points to lead the Misericordia University women's basketball team to an 83-80 victory over Eastern at home Wednesday.


Hannah Seely added 21 points as the Cougars overcame an eight-point halftime deficit to remain unbeaten in the Freedom Conference. Lauren Smicherko added nine points and six assists.


Wilkes 82, Delaware Valley 70

Wilkes came back from a 15 point deficit to earn a win on the road behind a game-high 26 points from Elena Stambone.


Chelsea Brown scored 17 points and snared 11 rebounds for the Colonels, while Lindsey Chester added 12 points.


MEN'S BASKETBALL
Misericordia 83, Eastern 59

Steve Ware had a game-high 19 points and eight rebounds to lead Misericordia in a win at home.


Matt Greene (15), Jesse Urich (13) and Cael Evans (11) all reached double figures in scoring for the Cougars.


Wilkes 69, Delaware Valley 81

Chris Shovlin scored 23 points to lead the Colonels in a loss at Delaware Valley. Pat Furst added 10 points for the Colonels.


WRESTLING
Wilkes 32, East Stroudsburg 9

Wilkes won eight of ten matches en route to a win at home.


Kris Krachuk won a 3-1 decision over returning All-American Braden Turner at 157, his 17th win on the season. At 165, Nathan White collected his 14th win of the year with a 6-3 decision over Colin Martucci.


MEN'S SWIMMING
Misericordia 144, Lebanon Valley 50

David Barylski was a triple-winner while Matt Essington and Adam Grzech won twice for the Cougars as Misericordia won on the road.


Barylski took the 100 breaststroke and 200 IM and teamed with Patrick O'Dell, Chris Panagacos and Brad Thomas to win the 200 medley relay. Essington won the 200 and 400 freestyles and Grzech took the 50 free and 100 back.


WOMEN'S SWIMMING
Misericorda 130, Lebanon Valley 70

Dani Blass was a triple-winner for the Cougars and Katherine Strohosky won twice as Misericordia downed Lebanon Valley.


Blass won the 100 meter breaststroke and 200 meter freestyle while joining Strohosky, Breanna Grzech and Brittany Luzik to win the 200 meter medley relay. Strohosky added a win in the 100 meter freestyle.
