Faculty, students and staff of Coughlin High School held its annual fall canned food drive in support of the community Feed-A-Friend campaign. The French Club coordinated the effort and set a goal of 1,000 food items. Mrs. Peters' second period chemistry I class received a pizza party for being the top class that reached 100 items. The school surpassed its total goal by more than 600 items, finishing with a total of 1,628. The French IV class provided daily support for the project and Nicole Wasmanski created a visual measure of the school's progress by drawing a barren tree and adding leaves to indicate the number of cans collected. Also assisting in the drive were seniors Bryan Wylie, Monica Diaz, Raizy Sosa and Jackie Marroquin. Some of the participants, from left, are Morgan Wanyo, Mykela Pacurariu, Wasmanski and Becca Elmy.
