Donation used to purchase coats, food for students

The North End Slovak Citizens Club of Wilkes-Barre recently made a donation to the Wilkes-Barre Area Career and Technical Center for a holiday party held at the school. The money was used to purchase several hundred items, including food baskets and winter coats, that were given to the students. At the check presentation, from left: Frank Majikes, principal, WBACTC; Tony Testa, dean of students, WBACTC; John Yencha, club board of governors; Andrew Hvozdovic, club president; Peter Halesey, administrative director, WBACTC; Joseph Hvozdovic, club sergeant-at-arms; and Anthony Guariglia, assistant principal, WBACTC.
