Donegal Society holds Christmas party at Ramada

The Donegal Society of Greater Wilkes-Barre recently held its annual children's Christmas party at the Ramada, Public Square. A donation was presented to Sister Alease King, director of the McGlynn Learning Center by Mary McDermott. Chairpersons for the party were Sally Wieczorek and Mary McDermott. Mr. and Mrs. Santa Claus were portrayed by Bette and Jack Gillespie, society members. At the party, not in order, are children Joey Flaherty; Anna Grace and Lucas McDougal; Michael, Charlie, Katherine and Maggie Madrovsky; Olivia Foster; Morgan Qualters; Gavin and Max Weisgable, E.J. Kyttle; Tristan Niemkiewicz; Gavin Finck; Nora, Clare and Nate Malarkey; Bethany Fahey; Landon Walsh; Colin Smith; Nicholas Smith; Kristian Cohna; and society members Beth Qualters; Missy Dougherty; Peggy Weisgable; Sue Cosgrove, society president; Mary McDermott; King; Dottie Povilaitis; and the Gillespies.
