>> I DO SOLEMNLY SWEAR: In November, America re-elected Barak Obama. Today, Washington, D.C., throws a party to celebrate. It‚??s ‚??Inauguration Day,‚?Ě which means fancy shindigs, fancy guests of honor and fancy speeches. While the president officially took the oath of office on Sunday, a public swearing-in will be held this morning for those of us who didn‚??t get an invite to the Oval Office. >> HASTA LA VISTA, WITCH: At its heart, the old German fairy tale ‚??Hansel & Gretel‚?Ě isn‚??t a happy story. It‚??s chock full of childhood abandonment, murder and cannibalism. Yikes! Now, Hollywood has decided to offer its own spin on the tale. ‚??Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters‚?Ě assumes that after the kids avoided becoming the witch‚??s brunch, they channeled their rage into a lifelong vendetta against the world‚??s witches. If the film is successful, the next big flick could be ‚??Little Jack Horner: Pie Hunter.‚?Ě The movie opens Friday.

The event opens Friday at the Mohegan Sun Arena and features a wheelbarrow-load of exhibits with products and services for just about everything your home and garden needs. Like gnomes! They‚??ll even be famous people on hand with Brian Santos, aka ‚??The Wall Wizard,‚?Ě and HGTV‚??s Harry Rinker ‚??The Collector Inspector‚?Ě offering advice.
>> THE BEST OF THE BEST (MOSTLY): OK, so now that the Ravens and San Francisco 49ers are on their way to the Super Bowl, NFL fans have a two-week wait before the year‚??s biggest game kicks off. For a football-obsessed nation, that leaves one big hole in the schedule this Sunday. Enter the Pro Bowl. The NFL‚??s best will gather in Hawaii for a game featuring a lot of stars and very little defense. But, hey! It‚??s football. NBC has the game starting at 7 p.m.
