Festival of Trees to be held at LCCC

The Luzerne County Community College Educational Conference Center will host a Festival of Trees throughout December. An opening gathering will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Nov. 30 at the Educational Conference Center. The event is free to the public. The gathering will include light refreshments and a Best in Show tree contest. Voting will be held for the best decorated tree at $1 per vote with all proceeds going to the American Red Cross. Seasonal entertainment will be performed by the Dallas Area Middle School Select Chorus. The tree display will be available for viewing from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, Dec. 3-21. Participants include Alden Manor, Choice One Community Credit Union, Classic Properties, Cross Valley Federal Credit Union, First National Community Bank, International Association of Administrative Professionals, Luzerne County Community College, Relay for Life South Valley, Nanticoke Historical Society, Hampton House, South Valley Chamber of Commerce, and UGI Utilities, Inc.
