Firefighters visit St. Jude School for Fire Prevention Week

Several members of the Wright Township Volunteer Fire Department came to St. Jude School to celebrate Fire Prevention Week with the pre-kindergarten and kindergarten classes. They spoke to the students about the tools they use, clothing they wear, having a safe place for family members to meet in case of a fire, the stop, drop and roll rule, the importance of smoke detectors, campfire safety and more. All students received complimentary firefighter hats. Some of the participating kindergarten students, from left, first row, are Hayden Fleegle, Saish Kawli, Tommy Dugan, Tyler Martinelli, Lukas Phillips and Shreema Rupareliya.
