The Foster Grandparent Program (FGP) of Luzerne/Wyoming Counties recently celebrated the New Year with a luncheon at the Genetti Hotel and Conference Center. Each Foster Grandparent received an FGP first aid kit. Trula Hollywood, executive director, Area Agency on Aging, reported on several scenarios and statistics, demonstrating the strong impact of the local Foster Grandparent Program and its members. During the past year, the local Foster Grandparents provided more than 132,000 hours of service to special needs children.
