I need to start off with an apology for neglecting to mention in last week's column that Sheetz offers free, self-serve coffee all day on Christmas. But I can save some face by letting you know this week that the same offer stands from 4 p.m. Monday through 4 p.m. Tuesday in honor of New Year's Eve and Day.

You don't need your Sheetz card or make a purchase to get the deal. Just stop in and grab a cup – only medium sized cups will be available during this time. It's a nice offer from our friends at Sheetz.

Another free drink offer comes from Quiznos. The sub store has a coupon, found here: http://tinyurl.com/bmv7a5d that will get you a free regular fountain drink with the purchase of any sub.

Free seems to be the word of the day.

Victoria's Secret has a coupon, found here: http://tinyurl.com/ckrz6xg that will get you a free New Year's Eve Panty with any purchase. Hurry, the deal is only good through Tuesday or while supplies last.

CVS has Mars chocolate singles such as Snickers or M&Ms on sale for 75 cents and you'll get 75 cents back in extrabucks if you use your CVS Extra Care card. Those extra bucks are good for a future store purchase.

I have bad new and good news and it all comes from Rite Aid. First the bad. The popular Single Check Rebates program ends Monday. The program offered rebates on items once you entered the receipts on line or via mail and you would get a check in the mail. This meant cold hard cash, rather than coupons good for future store purchases like the +Up Rewards program offers.

I will miss Single Check Rebates as I must have gotten over $200 in checks from the pharmacy over the years the program was in effect.

Now the good news, the Harrisburg-based company is celebrating 50 years in business in 2013 and is starting the year off with plenty of +Up Rewards – about $50 worth this week alone. And the $25 in +Up Rewards offer for transferring a prescription to Rite Aid is back and twice as nice as there are two coupons in today's Rite Aid circular. The rewards will expire 14 days after issuance so act fast.

Other +Up Rewards available this week include $1.50 back when you buy a .21 ounce Blistex lip ointment, which is on sale for $1.50.

Not sure if you ever make it up to Dickson City or out to Bloomsburg for Quaker Steak and Lube, but you should. Especially in January as The Lube is offering a tasty deal.

Starting New Year's Day, with every compact bucket of breaded boneless wings purchase, either through the Pick-Up Wingo Window or for take-out, guests will receive one of Gizzard Coop's prized wooden coins. This coin is good for $5 off a $25 food purchase at The Lube between Feb. 4th and March 31st. The bucket has 24 wings and costs about $18. Try them in Louisiana Licker or Buckeye BBQ sauce.

So the holidays are over and now you have even more clutter, er, I mean thoughtful gifts from family, than you did a month ago. Two words for you: storage bins. One place for you: Target.

Get a Sterilite latching storage 66-quart tinted box or 20 gallon tote for $6 this week. They're waterproof, great to store in the garage or the attic and you can put all your holiday d├ęcor in one place for easy access next year. Want some a bit smaller? Target has 18-gallon gray totes for $4.49 or a 56-court clear box for $4.99.
