Alison Leigh Hutch and Alexander Basil Russin were united in marriage Saturday, July 21, 2012, at St. Ignatius Church, Kingston, by the Rev. John V. Polednak. A cocktail hour and reception followed at the Scranton Cultural Center.


The bride is the daughter of Nancy and Harry Hutch III, Tunkhannock. She is the granddaughter of Julia Wiernusz and the late Edmund Wiernusz and Catherine Hutch and the late Harry Hutch Jr., all of Tunkhannock.


The groom is the son of Shelley and Basil Russin, Kingston. He is the grandson of the late Bessie and Sheldon Kleintob, Huntington Mills, and the late Helen and Harry Russin, Plains Township.


The bride was given in marriage by her father. She chose her sister, Linnzi D'Lauro, as her matron of honor. Bridesmaids were friends of the bride, Jamie Ricciardi and Kelly Finn, and cousins, Rachel Wiernusz and Tiffany Wiernusz.


The groom chose his brothers, Harrison Russin, Benjamin Russin and Edward Russin, as his best men. Groomsmen were Gary Decker Jr., friend of the groom, and Timothy D'Lauro, brother-in-law of the bride. Ring bearers were Jackson Barr, Theo Barr, Evan Lagueux, Nathan Lagueux, nephews of the groom; Jack D'Lauro, nephew of the bride; and Brett Wiernusz, cousin of the bride.


Scripture readings were given by Emily Russin and Abby Barr, sisters of the groom. The gospel lesson was read by Adam Wiernusz, cousin of the bride.


A bridal shower was hosted by the mothers of the bride and groom and the bridesmaids at Canteen 900, Forty Fort. The mother of the groom and aunt of the groom, Gail Whitebread, hosted a bridal luncheon at Sugar's Tea Room, Forty Fort. The father of the groom hosted a straight razor shave event for the groomsmen at the home of the groom. Following the shaving party, the wedding party was treated to an outdoor showing of My Big Fat Greek Wedding. The rehearsal dinner, hosted by the parents of the groom, was held at the Westmoreland Club, Wilkes-Barre.


The bride is a graduate of Bishop O'Reilly High School and earned a bachelor's degree from King's College. She is a Master's Candidate at Cabrini College. She is employed as a recruiter by Method 3, Camp Hill, Pa.


The groom is a graduate of Bishop O'Reilly High School and earned a bachelor's degree from Temple University. He is in his final year of law school at Widener University School of Law, Harrisburg, Pa.


The couple honeymooned in Hawaii. They reside in New Cumberland, Pa.
