ASHLEY: The Ashley Lions Club is holding its annual children's Christmas party from 1-3 p.m. on Sunday at St. Leo's Church, Manhattan Street. All children who reside in Ashley are invited. Santa will be available and presents will be given. Food and refreshments will be served. Pre-registration is not required.

NEWPORT TWP.: Newport Township Emergency Services is conducting its fourth annual Toys for Tots campaign. New, unwrapped toys can be dropped off at the fire station, 1002 Center St., Wanamie. For more information call the station at 735-2000.

SCRANTON: Cookies with Santa, presented by Eventful Moms and Sno Mountain, will take place from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday at the Clarion Hotel, 300 Meadow Avenue. Proceeds from the event will benefit Catholic Social Services' Gifts for Kids program.

There will be live music, crafts, raffles, representatives from local businesses and Santa. Photos with Santa will be available for a small fee. Cost is $3 for adults and $2 for children. Tickets can be purchased through Eventbrite or at the door.
