HANOVER TWP.: The Breslau Hose Company 5 is holding its annual Christmas gift-giving for the children of Breslau, Iona Place and Lyndwood from 1-3 p.m. on Dec. 15 at the fire hall, First and Delaney streets. Children ages infant to 10 are invited to attend. Santa will be in attendance with a gift for all of the children. Pre-registration is required and can made by stopping at the fire house or calling 825-1267 or Joe at 592-8126 between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Deadline for registration is Dec. 1.

HUGHESTOWN: The Hughestown Lions Club will meet at 7 tonight at the Hughestown Hose Company. Lion President Steve Golya will preside. Discussions will take place on the plans for decorating St. Joseph's Center home and the annual delivery of gifts to its residents. All Lions are urged to attend.

TUNKHANNOCK: The Lake Winola Lioness and the Tunkhannock Lions clubs are sponsoring their annual Christmas party and toy collection on Dec. 1 at the Lake Winola Fire Hall, Route 307, Lake Winola.

A BYOB social hour will take place from 6-7 p.m. with appetizers, soda and coffee provided. A dinner will be held after the social hour. The dinner includes homemade chicken and biscuits, mashed potatoes, vegetable and dessert. Admission is $9 per person plus an unwrapped child's toy. All toys collected will be donated to the Interfaith Friends Toy Distribution Program.

WILKES-BARRE: The Anthracite Apostles, a local biker club, recently hosted 2 Wheels for Tots. The event, sponsored by Slusser Law Firm and the law offices of Jason P. Provinzano LLC, featured live music, food and beverages at the Keystone Harley Davidson, Parryville. The cost of admission was free to those who donated a new, unopened toy. After all the donations were collected, the Anthracite Apostles delivered the toys on their motorcycles to the Wilkes-Barre Family YMCA.
